So, you've stumbled across New Life Community Church for the first time? Whether you've heard about us through a friend, family member, the Yellow Pages or just by driving by the building, you may have some questions about us or what to expect on a typical Sunday.

Here are a few answers to some frequently asked questions:

Who are we?

First of all, New Life Community Church consists of a wide range of different people, from all ages and different backgrounds. One thing’s for sure, you will always be greeted with a warm welcome.

When to arrive:

If this will be your first visit then it's probably best to get here around 9:45am. If you can get here a bit sooner you can join us for a little coffee, donuts (for those who had to rush out the door without breakfast) and some friendly conversation. You'll be pleased to know that there is always plenty of parking regardless what time you arrive. For directions to reach us please click on either the address link on the top of our homepage. Or, for a Satellite view of the Church and driving directions with a turn by turn map and directions from most areas of California go to out directions page.

Once you arrive, you can park in the Church-level parking lot, or the lower-level and walk up the stairs to the Church. Upon entering the Church, you'll be greeted by our Welcoming Team who will give you some information about the Church and answer any questions you may have.

What to wear:

This one’s easy. Wear whatever you feel comfortable in. We are an informal Church and welcome people as they are. There is no "dress code". Whether you come in a suit or sweat-pants there will always be a seat with your name on it (that means any seat).

What to expect:

For some people, going anywhere for the first time can be a bit of a nerve-racking experience. To help calm any nervousness here's a quick summary of what you can expect at NLCC.

First of all, we aren't super-spiritual beings, we've all had the 'first day jitters', you'll soon find we are a friendly bunch, if you don't understand something don't be afraid to ask.

All of us here want you to feel as comfortable as possible.

We start our meeting at 10:00am with some music, and then a few minutes of announcements keeping us informed of any upcoming events, we then spend an extended time worshipping to some great music.

Our worship time consists of modern and traditional songs arranged for guitars, keyboard & drums. Oh, and if you don't know the words don't worry, we project them on a large screen that's viewable from anywhere in the Worship Center. Everyone participates in the worship, but prior to the Pastor's message our trained staff will escort the young ones that may be too young (and sometimes too fidgety) downstairs to our Activity Center. We then have a talk from the Bible that is relevant and meaningful to our modern lives. We usually wrap-up our meeting around 11:45.

-insider's tip: There's a great little Mexican restaurant in the Prunedale Shopping Center named "Sarita's" which has been known to be a favorite after-church lunch spot. It would be a great opportunity for us to get to know you, and enjoy some delicious food too!

Will I be expected to give money?

We want your experience at NLCC to come with no strings attached. Although we do take an offering, it is only for those who are part of the New Life Community Church family and for those who freely choose to contribute. No one is looking to see who contributes or not. Our true desire is that unless you choose NLCC as your spiritual home, all we DO expect from you is for you to sit back and experience God without any feelings of guilt or obligation.

What we believe:

We are a Christian Church and believe that all can have a relationship with God. We believe this relationship with God is possible because of Jesus Christ (God's only Son) who invites us to follow him.

Our hope is that everyone will draw closer to God. Whether you are interested in exploring the Christian faith maybe for the first time, or if you have been a Christian for many years and you're looking for a new Church home then please join us on any Sunday, or contact the Church by phone or e-mail with any questions you may have.

No pressure.
